These are two entirely different movies that are currently ruling the roost in Kollywood.

VTV Synopsis
This movie captures that phase of life of two normal human beings( Simbhu is the Cupid here, so understandably a little more than normal) where they fall madly in love, lose all their sanity, get burnt badly and still move on with their respective lives.

Paiya Synopsis
One superhero kinda guy who does not really care about anything, falls head over heels for a fair maiden, becomes her limo driver, bashes up hundreds of goons, rescues his damsel in distress and finally she returns his love.

Let me explain as to what made me compare these two movies.
My younger sibling liked Paiya a lot and she claimed to have slept through entire VTV. Whereas, I watched VTV with all my attention, feeling bad whenever Simbhu felt bad and relating all the more to Trisha’s ever confused state. I watched Paiya too and truly speaking it was just an ok-ok movie for me and I was multi-tasking in order to get done with the movie.

My Opinion
If you believe or call yourself a romantic or emotionally-driven person and you have all the time in the world, you might really like VTV and not mind the slow pace.
If your life is really fast-paced, you have got over that stupid romatic phase or you never really wasted time in it and you don’t really mind larger than life heroes, you might like Paiya for its speed, style and ofcourse Karthi Sivakumar.

I literally scrambled my way to the laptop today to post something or anything. How can I not keep up the resolution the very next day? Its really tough to decide on what to write about. There are two scenarios when this can happen,
1. There is nothing going on in your mind
2. There are no too many things in your mind and you are overwhelmed.
Well, in my case I have too many things and most of them are jumbled up or already over-analysed and stale.
I am also getting this uneasy feeling when I am about to blog some personal thoughts(not very personal though). Guess I am becoming overtly self-conscious, yet another direct impact of languishing indoors for many months. I hope to blog something more meaningful tomorrow and also embark on fulfilling the other resolutions. Hope All izz well…

Resolutions

After moving to this place, I have become much more lazier. So finally after lazing around for nearly 5 months I have decided to make some resolutions and also abide by them and execute them.

In Her Shoes

This movie is a little different from the usual Cameron Diaz stuff although it does have a lot of skimpy-clothed Cameron Diaz in it. But what made me write about this movie is the very realistic bond that the sisters share. The protective elder one and the childish younger one or so does it look at the outset.
In truth, each needs the other a lot and each is a part of the other.
The poem at the end is simply overwhelming.

Tamil cinema’s bubbly girl

I guess this would be the definition of bubbly girl for most of the super-dooper punch dialogue film makers.
I really don’t understand this phenomena. Take for instance the movie ‘Kushi’ ( yes the old movie only), I really did think for a moment that Jo was either a mental case or had squint eyes.
Thank Gautam Menon, if not for Kaaka Kaaka, that perception of Jo would never have been altered. Why can’t a heroine have brains?Or is it true that when a woman is bubbly, she has no brains?
Anyways, all this came up because, I watched a show on the movie VTV and its crew. Actress Trisha was thrown a question on the bubbliness of her character in VTV.
And she really did give a chuckle-inducing fitting reply to it. “Bubbly girl na aetho loosu mathiri irukanumnu illay”. Kudos to you.
So people do know this and yet this nonsense is going on. Hmm..enna koduma saravanan.

Kollywood Movie- Scene 1

One of my silent dreams is to make a Kollywood movie with a super dooper HERO. So here starts the first scene…

HERO enters the scene holding a Ak 47 and he is camouflaged in one blue shirt, a pink shirt over it ,yellow coat and finally a torn but striking blue jeans…
He eyes are blood red and his face is grim. He looks around with a terrorizing demeanour and says
“Naan oru pambu mathiri, seeritean kothama vitamaten”
and then turns 90 degree in slow motion. While he turns the surrouding mirrors begin to crack and a strong wind tears them apart.( oops..I missed, the hero is standing in a room surrounded by mirrors similar to “Enter the Dragon” final scene) Amidst the flying glass pieces, the hero walks unscathed and the movie title is displayed with a boom sound
“JALLI – The True Terminator”
